Crime Scene Technician I / Police
$19.72-$22.19; DOQ; M-F 8am-5pm, on call as needed
The Crime Scene Technician will respond to crime scenes and other serious incident locations to support the protection of life, property and preservation of evidence by thorough and effective investigation of criminal offenses including juvenile and adult cases that occur within the department's jurisdiction. A Bachelor's degree in a science or crime scene related field from an accredited college is required. Completion or the ability to complete specialized training relating specifically to investigative techniques/methods is required. Must possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Texas or ability to obtain a Texas driver's license within 30 days of hire. Crime scene certification through the International Association for Identification (I.A.I) is a plus. Latent and palm print course completion (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) preferred or ability to successfully complete AFIS training/certification course.
